What makes your heirloom portraits different?

Heirloom portraiture is a true specialty, and creating timeless portraits requires much more than a white backdrop and a camera. Every session is thoughtfully planned - from posing and professional lighting to wardrobe guidance and careful individual hand editing of each image to create portraits that feel classic today and fifty years from now.

I've spent years photographing children and refining my approach to create images that are both technically beautiful and full of personality, resulting in artwork designed to become treasured family heirlooms for generations.

What should my child wear?

Classic clothing photographs beautifully and allows the focus to remain on your child. Traditional pieces with timeless details such as smocking, Peter Pan collars, heirloom dresses, bubbles, or simple button-downs are always wonderful choices. Most importantly we want your child to look and feel like themselves! After booking, you'll receive a detailed wardrobe guide with recommendations, examples, and styling tips to help you choose something that photographs beautifully.

When should I book my newborn session?

The best time to reserve your newborn session is at the beginning of your second trimester, as my calendar fills several months in advance. Don't worry if your baby arrives earlier or later than expected - we reserve a tentative booking based on your due date, and we'll finalize your session once your little one arrives. Newborn sessions are typically within the first few two after birth, allowing us to beautifully document this incredibly fleeting season before it slips away.

Do you offer mini sessions?

Yes! I offer a limited number of mini sessions each year. Because they are only available on select dates at a designated location, mini sessions are announced approximately 8–10 weeks in advance and tend to book quickly.

Every fall, I do offer both Family Mini Sessions and Santa Sessions, making them a wonderful option for updating family portraits and Christmas cards. The best way to stay informed is by joining my email list or following along on social media, where all mini session announcements are shared first.
